Outlets and switches

In addition to the function for which they are designed, electrical outlets and switches also have a decorative, aesthetic function. What was once a few standard types of surface-mounted outlets and switches has evolved into hundreds, if not thousands, of different designs (mostly flush-mounted or J-box mounted) in a variety of colours, with mechanical, touch or remote actuation. In order to increase the feasibility of colour configurations, systems of switches and outlets have been developed, consisting of separate mounting of the actuation/functional units and selection of separate bezels, depending on the user’s preferences. When changing the design and colour of a room, simply change the bezel of the switch or socket and keep the installed actuators/functional units.
