Kabel skrętkowy F/UTP (ekranowany) idealnie nadaje się do instalacji w sieciach komputerowych, telefonicznych, systemach CCTV itp., narażonych na zakłócenia elektromagnetyczne. Zastosowanie ekranu minimalizuje ryzyko zakłóceń, które występować mogą np. przy ułożeniu kabla we wspólnym korytku z kablem prądowym.
